Teaching Nonproliferation is currently under construction!
Eventually we hope to become an easy-to-use, practical resource for those who are interested in learning or teaching others about preventing the spread of nuclear weapons. We are building resources for a wide audience; no matter the extent of your nuclear knowledge you will find something useful here.
We also know that you can’t discuss nuclear weapons without understanding nuclear energy. A nuclear weapon free world will never be possible as long as we promote nuclear power plants across the globe. There are real, economically viable alternatives to nuclear power that are cleaner and more safe. We believe that learning about (and promoting) alternative energy is the key to truly ending nuclear weapons proliferation.
So take a look around. From fun videos to lesson plans, between in-depth documents and local events, we hope you can find your own niche in this community- and dig right in! It’s time to turn back the hands of the Doomsday Clock; we should never be satisfied by ‘mutually assured’ contamination or annihilation. Instead, using Teaching Nonproliferation, educators, preachers, students, activists, and the generally concerned public can work together toward the common goal of a more peaceful and secure future, free of nuclear weapons.
